Little Knights Preschool
Welcome to Little Knights Preschool! Housed at Southwood Elementary School, Little Knights is a high-quality preschool that offers the best in early childhood education.
Our Littles create, connect, pretend, explore, sing, dance, and build, all while learning about their world in a developmentally-appropriate way that best prepares them for kindergarten and beyond. Our Littles staff collaborates closely with kindergarten to align curriculum and to ensure the strongest foundations are built. As a Little Knights, your child will build relationships with their future teachers and be prepared for a successful transition into kindergarten.
2026-2027 Registration
Registration for the 2026-2027 school year is now open for children who will be age 3 or 4 by August 1, 2026. Spaces are limited, so families are encouraged to register early.
Days & Times
Little Knights follow the regular school year calendar. They attend Monday through Friday for either a full or half-day. Students arrive around 8:00 am each day. Half-day students end their day around 12:00 pm, while full-day students stay until 3:00 pm.
Tuition
Tuition for either full or half-day attendance is less than $22/day, making Little Knights one of the most cost-effective early childhood programs in the area!
Paths to Quality Level 3
Paths To Quality is a statewide rating system designed to help parents make informed decisions on early childhood programming.
Financial Assistance
Tuition grants are available for qualifying families through On My Way Pre-K and the Child Care Development Fund.
Building Foundations
Our Early Childhood program is designed to ease students into a regular schedule. This is perfect for those children that aren't quite ready for kindergarten.
Community of Learners
Our Littles benefit from interacting with other Southwood Elementary students and staff which creates a rich learning environment.
Built-In Specials
Littles in our Four's Program participate weekly in Art, Music, and PE. These specials provide an opportunity for exercise and self-expression.
Nurses on Staff
With trained nurses on staff, basic health care is always available.
Study Trips
Our Littles enjoy study trips to learn more about the greater community.
