Southwood Elementary Welcomes New Principal
Next school year, Southwood Elementary will welcome a new leader. On Tuesday evening, the MSD of Wabash County School Board approved Mr. Casey Stouffer as the new Principal of Southwood Elementary School.
Mr. Stouffer brings ten years of school administration experience to his new role. Throughout these years, he has served as the Athletic Director for Maconaquah High School and Whitko Jr/Sr High School. Prior to those experiences, he was the Assistant Athletic Director, Head Wrestling Coach, and Adjunct Professor for Mount St. Joseph University.
As a 1997 Southwood graduate himself, Mr. Stouffer has strong Wabash County roots. Along with being a licensed educator and administrator, Mr. Stouffer holds a bachelor’s degree from Mount St. Joseph University in Health/Physical Education, and a Master’s in Education Administration from the University of Scranton.
“I'm extremely excited to be back in the Wabash community and being a part of MSD of Wabash County. It feels good to come back home to Southwood after being gone for 25 years,” stated Mr. Stouffer. “I look forward to working with the great staff at Southwood Elementary and the amazing students that attend there. I'm very grateful for the new opportunity of being principal at Southwood Elementary and I'm very excited to get started this summer.”
Mr. Stouffer and his wife, Jessica, reside in Wabash with their three children: Jada (13), Ava (10), and Henry (8).
